“INNOPROM is very important for us, that is why our enterprises are widely presented at the trade fair. And I came as the minister of industry to support them and to assist the development of cooperation with Russian companies”, - Mr Jan Mladek noticed.
According to Czech minister, among the priority areas of cooperation between Russia and Czech Republic are the following: machine engineering, aviation industry, energy saving, power industry and utilities. The Minister emphasized also that Russia needs modernization of communal municipal heating, that is why the Czech companies have great opportunities for building new institutes.
The Minister explained that three delegations came to INNOPROM: official delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, delegation of businessmen (almost 50 persons) and representatives of South Czechia - the most active partner of the Sverdlovsk region.
“We consider the Sverdlovsk region as an important partner in the Russian Federation. Economy structure of the Sverdlovsk region is very similar with economy structure of Czech Republic as a whole. Our industry, just like here, composes about one third part of GDP. Agricultural sector is insignificant (2.5%) and the rest economic sectors are almost the same. Such situation itself presents huge opportunities for cooperation”, - Mr Jan Mladek noticed.
“Ural and Czech enterprises have long term partnership relations. Except that there is a complete mutual understanding on the level of representatives of the state authority and business of our countries. Today the Sverdlovsk region is ready to discuss with Czech Republic the roadmap for further establishment of cooperation ties system”, - Mr Andrei Sobolev, the Minister of International and External Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk region noticed earlier.
In 2014 turnover of the Sverdlovsk region with Czech Republic was equal to 236.5 mln US dollars. This sum decreased on 12% in comparison with 2013. Export decreased on 36% exceeding amount of 148 mln, and import increased 2.5 times on the contrary. Metals and metal goods were mainly exported to Czech Republic. Engineering products were imported to the Sverdlovsk region composing 86% of region’s import.
