On September 06, 2017 at the Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea Paik Un-gyu signed a memorandum on cooperation for the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2018.
The Republic of Korea will present its national exhibit and organize Business Program events, including the Russia-Korea business forum.
China and India have previously served as INNOPROM Partner Countries. In 2017, Japan enjoyed the status of INNOPROM Partner Country. Hiroshige Seko, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, led the Japanese delegation. Ekaterinburg welcomed over 168 industrial companies and approximately 800 business representatives and government officials, including more than 20 CEOs of major national companies. Over 3000 business meetings were held at the Japan National Exhibit. Japanese participants' stands occupied more than 4 000 sq.m. of exhibition space.
The Ninth International Trade Fair will be held on July 9-12, 2018. INNOPROM-2018 theme: Digital Manufacturing.
International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM has been held annually in Ekaterinburg since 2010. In 2012, the federal status was conferred upon the exhibition by the Government of the Russian Federation. Event participants include over 600 companies from 105 countries. During 4 exhibition days, INNOPROM-2017 attracted over 50,000 visitors, more than 60% of them professionals. All global industrial leaders participate in the exhibition. Italy, Germany, India, Japan and other countries regularly present their national exhibits. In 2017, INNOPROM launched the National Buyer Industrial Export Development Program (IndEx), which brought 200 professional buyers of industrial products to Ekaterinburg.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is the organizer of INNOPROM.
