The objective of the round table is to discuss the functions of modern engineering centers, requirements to them and resources necessary for their creation.
Development of engineering centers has been included into INNOPROM’s agenda on purpose, as this is the largest event in Russia that is dedicated to the latest technologies and designs and focused on proliferation of expertise in the area of innovations and developing business ties between companies and developers of technologies.
The round table will continue the series of discussions on the project “Industrial and technological foresight of the Russian Federation in long-term,” held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The organizer of the round table is the Center for Strategic Research "North-West".
Today, the majority of Russian companies carry out technological refurbishment of their engineering processes, but creation of state-of-the-art engineering centers requires introduction of new competences, restructuring of all business processes and implementation of new concepts of system engineering.
For what companies does the creation of engineering centers have relevance? What can be achieved by their creation, which resources are necessary, and what can be an obstacle to their development?
What joint efforts can companies exert? In which areas can their strategies be consolidated?
What assistance can government provide?
What are the possibilities for supporting regional initiatives in development of engineering centers?
