November 7. Seoul. Within the framework of preparation of the International industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2018, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Aleksandr Morozov conducted a working meeting in Seoul with representatives of the biggest Korean industrial and trade associations.
Leaders of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea International Trade Agency (KITA), Korea Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI) as well as of Formika Group, the Russian operator of INNOPROM, took part in the meeting.
Aleksandr Morozov invited Korean companies to take an active participation in the exhibition and suggested to update INNOPROM’s business program by announcing such topics as electrical and unmanned transport as well as the usage of robotics in industry and service sector. Aleksandr Morozov is sure that “A great number of aspects in these fields might help Russia and Korea to have an effective synergy and collaboration”.
Managing Director of Korea Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI), Yong Kuk Kim, confirmed the significant interest of Korean companies toward Russian market: “Korean companies have already taken participation in INNOPROM in previous years. In 2018, practical benefits from the exhibition will be very important for KOAMI’s members what indicates new possibilities for our companies in Russia”.
“It terms of collaboration with Korean companies we are aiming to a long-term cooperation within the framework of INNOROM rather than to a one-time action, - emphasized Anton Atrashkin, head of INNOPROM business program. – We will make everything possible to help Korean companies to have a concrete output from participation: new contacts, new partners, new projects in Russia. We have noticed that Chinese, Indian and Japanese companies tend to come back to INNOPROM after being our Partner-countries what means that INNOPROM is a successful business for them”.
Besides, partner-country’s cultural program organization issues have also been discussed. Aleksandr Morozov emphasized the popularity of Korean cinematography in Russia and in the world and suggested to hold a festival of contemporary Korean movies with a participation of famous directors and actors in Ekaterinburg alongside INNOPROM.
The main international industrial exhibition of Russia will take place from the 9th till the 12th of July, 2018. INNOPROM-2018 theme is “Digital manufacturing”. The memorandum of understanding concerning participation of the Republic of Korea as a Partner-country in the 9th international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM-2018” between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea was signed on the 6th of September 2017 in Vladivostok in the presence of Presidents of two countries.
The International industrial exhibition INNOPROM has been held annually since 2010. In 2012, the Russian Government granted a federal status to the main industrial, trade and export venue of Russia. More than 600 companies from 105 countries take participation in INNOPROM. Within 4 days of INNOPROM-2017 more than 50 000 visitors have come to the exhibition. More than 60% of them are representatives of the professional audience. All world leaders of the industrial field take part in the exhibition. Italy, Germany, India, Japan and other countries represent their national expositions. In 2017, the Hosted buyers program Industrial Export Development IndEx was launched for the first time within INNOPROM. More than 200 delegates, the professional buyers of industrial production, came to Ekaterinburg in program’s framework.
