In February 2015, Vladimir Putin instructed the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation to develop a national directory of popular and promising professions together with the expert community. As explained by the Russian Ministry of Labor, the directory would enable public authorities, employers and other interested organizations to improve staffing strategies and to ensure continuity and balance during training in various sectors of the economy andprofessional activities.
It is expected that the Directory will be used to determine the needs for developing and maintaining professional standards, federal government standards, and educational programs. "We must create an informational system with popular professions, similar to those systems that function in other countries. All regions are working on preparing this directory,” - says LyubovEltsova, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia.
By May 22, 2015, the Ministry of Labor of Russia together with the INNOPROM organizing committee will conduct a survey of enterprises and expert community on preparation of the directory. When creating this new tool, enterprises requests and real labor market situation are taken into account. This approach is consistent with the objectives of the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM and its concept of sustainable development.
The outcomes of the directory development will be announced on July 11, 2015, the same day as career guidance PROFI takes place at INNOPROM. The meeting will be chaired by LyubovEltsova, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia, with the participation of HR-department heads of major Russian companies and Russian divisions of international companies.
Organizing Committee invites you to take part in the preparation of the directory of popular professions and become a member of the career guidance PROFI.
