RUSSIAN COMPANIES ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN INDUSTRIA, ANNUAL AWARD CONFERRED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

December 8, 2017. The Organizing Committee of the National Industrial Award INDUSTRIA, the Government Award of the Russian Federation, is currently accepting applications. Russian companies which have developed and implemented breakthrough industrial technologies are welcome to apply. Priority will be given to companies whose products possess confirmed export potential.

INDUSTRIA focuses on facilitating the development and promotion of advanced technologies in Russia's industrial production. The Award Board includes Russian and foreign industrial innovation experts, heads of business associations and development institutions, and representatives of business mass media. The Board is chaired by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.  In 2018, the Russian industrial Oscar will be conferred for the fifth time.

According to INDUSTRIA Statute, in order to qualify for the Award, a company must be a resident of the Russian Federation, and its products or technologies must already be applied by industrial consumers.

The competition consists of several stages.

  • Until April 1, 2018, the Organizing Committee will be accepting applications and ensure that they meet the official criteria.

  • Application assessment commences on April 10. Approximately 120 experts will be evaluating submitted materials and rank them in their respective field.

  • Before June 20, information on five finalists will be published on INDUSTRIA website (www.industriaprize.ru).

  • Finally, in the beginning of July, the panel of judges will select the winner by a secret ballot.

At any point in the process, the Organizing Committee may request the following additional information from applicants and finalists: export revenue forecast, business solvency data, key performance indicators, etc.

When assessing applications, the Award Board will apply the following criteria:

  • technological novelty – evaluation of technology efficiency and its benefits as compared to currently marketed solutions;

  • economic effect – demand analysis, commercialization forecast, market share dynamics, and economic benefits for end consumers;

  • cross-industry project benefits – evaluation of systemic effect on industrial development: potential for application in other sectors/industries, performance enhancement, higher competitiveness indicators and growth rates;
  • global market focus – assessment of a company's export volume against its total output; foreign activity indicators.

In 2017, the Award was conferred upon Computational Mechanics Laboratory, which is a St. Petersburg-based high-tech engineering company under CompMechLab Group, an engineering partner of a top car manufacturer BMW.

Application for participation and detailed information about the Award is available on INDUSTRIA website http://www.industriaprize.ru/
