Last Friday, on December 14, 2012, Research and Production Corporation UralVagonZavod in partnership with the Canadian company Bombardier won bidding for supplying Moscow with 120 low-floor streetcars. The corporation offered the price that was by RUR 45M lower than the price offered by Transmashholding and Alstrom and will execute the order for the amount of 8.46 billion rubles in 2014-2015. But the race for large contracts in Moscow has only begun. In 2013, the city plans to buy subway trains for approximately the same amount, and experts believe Transmashholding to be the frontrunner among possible suppliers.
