Already a traditional competition “Minute of Techno Fame” will be held on July 11 at the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2015.The competition is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Ural Federal University named after B.N. Yeltsin.
Master’s and doctoral students of universities of higher professional education, as well as post-graduate students at scientific research organizations are able to compete in “Minute of Techno Fame.” Contestants cannot be over 35 years old. This year, the participants will strive for victory in two categories: Technical Innovations and Innovations in Social Sphere.
The competition is held in two stages. At the first stage, applicants’ projects are evaluated by a committee of experts. Only 10 projects will be selected - five in each category. The second stage is a final public presentation of innovative projects. The winners of “Minute of Techno Fame” will be selected by a competition committee chaired by the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Mr. Evgeny Kuyvashev. The winners will receive free MBA education in a business school. Contestants, who take second and third places in the competition, will receive monetary prizes, diplomas, and memorable gifts.
It should be pointed out that the “Minute of Techno Fame” competition is held annually. It is aimed at engaging young people in implementing practically applicable scientific research projects for advancement of priority economic sectors and social sphere in Sverdlovsk Region. Furthermore, the competition allows for creating a database of innovative projects, developing high technological business environment, attracting financial resources for implementation of innovative projects, and creating an image of Sverdlovsk Region as an attractive region for future investments.

INFORMATION ABOUT INNOPROM-2015
International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM has been held annually in Ekaterinburg since 2010. In 2014, INNOPROM hosted around 600 companies from 70 countries. Ekaterinburg was visited by more than 30 foreign delegations. During INNOPROM, 19 major agreements were signed totaling 6 bn roubles. The event was widely covered by federal and regional media; more than 300 media representatives were live in the press centre of INNOPROM. According to the forecasts of the operator of the event, GC FORMIKA, the number of exhibitors and partners INNOPROM 2015 will surpass last year’s.
