That was the way FORBES referred to one of the most prominent inventors of today, Professor Ray Kurzweil. The Public Broadcasting Service of the USA included him in the list of 16 great revolutionaries who created America; among them were inventors of the past centuries. According to INC. Magazine, Ray Kurzweil ranked 8 among the top 10 American businessmen, and it called him “Thomas Edison’s heir.”

  • Ray Kurzweil holds 19 honorary doctorates, awards and honors from three US presidents. Among them is the National Medal of Technology and Innovation he was awarded by President Bill Clinton, and the Main Prize for Innovations Development from the University of Massachusetts in the amount of 500,000 USD.
  • But Ray Kurzweil is not only an outstanding inventor; he is the most renowned futurologist in the world. His four books on futurology have become bestsellers. His newest book “How to Create a Mind: The Secret of Human Thought Revealed” is scheduled to be published in October of 2012.
  • In his lecture at INNOPROM, Professor Kurzweil will unveil some of the scientific mysteries he reveals in his book. He will also tell the audience when the Earth will turn into one massive computer. He knows the answer to this question.
