Among the nominees were: BIST Group – a global leader in multi-management systems and industrial safety of mining enterprises, Tavrida Electrics - developer of innovative vacuum switching technology. Other nominees: T8 - leading Russian developer and manufacturer of telecommunication equipment of wavelength division multiplexing; Baikal Electronics - Russian developer of integrated circuits, and Optoguard Nanotech - company engaged in the introduction of innovative laser-plasma technologies.
As General Director of the Russian Technological Agency Mr. Nikolay Kuteev noted at the press conference in the press centre of INNOPROM-2015, the advantage of the current nominees for the Award is that they do not just keep their finger on the pulse, but in many ways are ahead time. In addition, companies do not just present innovations, but actually are engaged in business. The main trend, which the experts focused on while selecting nominees, was digitisation and inventory of all walks of life. “For us, the award is an opportunity to annually demonstrate our most important priorities and trends in industrial development and to showcase companies that, in our opinion, develop substantively and in the right direction”, - said Mr. Nikolay Kuteev.
Representatives from companies nominated for the Award, in turn, noted its significance. They said that the INDUSTRIA Award gives them a chance to make a name for themselves and receive endorsement and moral support.
“Nowadays, it is important that we break people’s mindset when they often think of import substitution with skepticism and do not believe in success. Potential of Russian enterprises is so great that they can create decent products”, - added Mr. Konstantin Marchenko, Deputy General Director, T8.
The winner will be announced today at the plenary session “Industrial efficiency: ways for the goal achievement, experience of different countries”.
The National Industrial Award INDUSTRIA was founded on April 16, 2014 by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Russia. The purpose of the Award is to define growth areas of Russian manufacturing industry through showing business and scientific audiences the best examples of national innovative projects in industrial production. In 2015, the INDUSTRIA Award received a government award status, which is a strong motivational factor for Russian enterprises.
