On October 13th in Moscow a Memorandum for the People's Republic of China's participation as official partner country of INNOPROM-2015 was signed, during the 19th regular meeting of the Russian and Chinese leaders. The Memorandum was signed by Mr Denis Manturov, Trade & Industry Minister of the Russian Federation, and the Minister for Commerce of China, Mr Gao Huchen, in the presence of the governmental leaders of both countries.
This is the first occasion on which the world's most populous nation – with more than 1.36 billion people – has become the official partner of INNOPROM. China is the world's economic leader, with GDP of more than US$9 trillion dollars for 2013; the world's fastest growing economy, expanding at more than 10% per years; and China is also Russia's largest foreign trading partner, with an annual trade turnover with Russia of US$88.8 billion dollars in 2013.
During the meeting of the governmental leaders, a total of 38 documents were signed – including an International Collaboration Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of energy; in the sphere of finances; on anti-monopoly regulations; on Customs cooperation; and also on mutual collaboration in the operation of satellite navigation systems.
