On 9th March 2015 the Russian Government approved a plan of events for popularizing working and engineering professions and for preparing future workforces for industrial needs.
In accordance with Government decision, the PROFI National Festival of Professions, along with other reliable projects, will be undertaking the popularization of the working and engineering professions among the upcoming generation. The key events planned within the Festival will include laying the ground for more intensive professional development, and preparing a skilled and capable workforce able to fill the vacancies for highly-skilled industrial staff. It's expected that the program will cover more than 600,000 job applicants.
The pilot launch of PROFI will take place over 8th to 11th of July within the scope of the INNOPROM-2015 International Industrial Trade Fair that will be held in Ekaterinburg.
The project will take place within a number of formats. The Exhibition part will feature a number of different education and training technology interactive presentations (including interactive simulators and training modules that replicate professional activities). The training programs for professional personnel will be the topic of debate in the Business program of the project. An interactive professional crafts and skills zone, and themed excursions around the stands of the trade fair exhibitors will give representatives of the upcoming generation of professionals in manufacturing industry the chance to be in touch with their profession in practice – and also present themselves and take part in discussions at a job openings fair.
The PROFI project is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Formika Group of Companies, the official operator of exhibition and convention events.
