On 10th July, the III International Metropolitan Technologies will be held within the framework of the INNOPROM-2015 Industrial Trade Fair in Ekaterinburg. Metropolitan Technologies is an annual project that includes business events and a specialized exhibition. Business events will take place in Pavilion 4 (Halls 2, 3) in the Ekaterinburg-EXPO International Exhibition Centre.
In 2015, you can visit the Metropolitan Technologies exhibition, one of the key sections at INNOPROM-2015, in Pavilion 2.It presents the providers of technologies and solutions for the development and improvement of cities, on five thematic blocks of the exhibition:
1. Technology for urban energy
2. Technology for urban construction
3. Technology for urban management
4. Technology for cleaning and recycling
5. Technology for urban transit services and logistics
The Metropolitan Technologies forum takes place with support of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation. Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Mr. Andrey Chibis has confirmed his participation in the main Plenary Session of the forum “How Cities Get Smart – Russian and International Viewpoints”. During the discussion Russian and foreign experts will evaluate issues facing modern cities, such as state policy on municipal management, energy efficiency, a role of Internet of things in the development of “smart” cities. The main purpose of the plenary session is to designate which of the newest technologies are in demand in Russian cities.
Russian-German round table “From innovation to standard: how to develop a market based on pilot projects” will touch upon energy efficiency in cities. German Energy Agency (dena) will be a partner of the event.Experts will discuss development of pilot projects in the area of energy efficient construction and evaluate European experience and its application in Russian standards. The event will be attended by the heads of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the RF, Ministries of Energy and Utilities of the Sverdlovsk Region and Krasnoyarsky Krai, as well as representatives from State Corporation "Housing Reform Fund", Federal Ministry of Transport, Construction, and City Development for relations with Eastern Europe ,Deloitte & Touche, Knauf Gips, and KG KfW.
Another major theme of the Forum will be taken up by the Development Fund for Internet Initiatives (FRII)- The Role of the Internet of Things in Developing Smart Cities. It is not a coincidence, as megalopolises today are the best platform for technology and IoT products (Internet of Things).
During this event the experts will discuss the functionality of 'smart' cities, the priority issues, and integration difficulties in various smart-systems that have been developed independently of each other, and norms and regulations of the Internet of Things. Representatives of Cisco Systems, Rostelecom, Russian Venture Company, Skolkovo, and China Telecom.
The following round tables will continue the discussion on “smart cities”, energy efficiency, and organisation of urban space:
1. The Role of New Technologies & Manufacturing in Developing Cities & Regions (event partner: DTGroup GC);
2. Public Spaces: Cities growth areas (event partner: Ekbpromo GC);
3. Modernizing Cities on an Electro-Efficient Basis – The Search for Replicable Solutions (partners: RF Presidential Analytical Centre, SRO NP “EE Union”, “RPC “Karat”).
It is necessary to highlight an expert panel Industrial Projects – New-Build, or Rebuild the Old Ones? Partners in this event, Delovoy Kvartal (Business Quarter) Magazine and NP The Russian Guild of Directors and Developers gathered together leaders of development companies from various regions of Russia to discuss the following issues: to build new real estate or to rebuild the old ones? How to avoid mistakes when selecting a site for manufacturing projects? How to rationally approach the design of industrial real estate? What is the link between energy efficiency, aesthetics, and long-term functionality of an enterprise at the example of BIM technologies?

INFORMATION ABOUT INNOPROM-2015
International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM has been held annually in Ekaterinburg since 2010. In 2014, INNOPROM hosted around 600 companies from 70 countries. Ekaterinburg was visited by more than 30 foreign delegations. During INNOPROM, 19 major agreements were signed totaling 6 bn roubles. The event was widely covered by federal and regional media; more than 300 media representatives were live in the press centre of INNOPROM. According to the forecasts of the operator of the event, GC FORMIKA, the number of exhibitors and partners INNOPROM 2015 will surpass last year’s.
