The Republic of Turkey will become the Partner Country of the Tenth International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM in 2019. In the presence of Gonca Yilmaz Batur, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, and Alexey Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the agreement was signed by Kutlu Karavelioğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Machinery Exporters’ Association (MAIB), and Anton Atrashkin, First Vice-President of Formika Group.
Tenth anniversary INNOPROM will be held in Ekaterinburg on July 8-11, 2019. The main theme of the exhibition is “Digital Manufacturing: Integrated Solutions”.
“The Agreement confirms the Parties’ intentions regarding the Republic of Turkey’s participation in INNOPROM 2019 as the Partner Country. The Parties express their interest in facilitating further cooperation and developing business ties between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey pertaining to bilateral trade in goods and services on equal and mutually beneficial basis,” the signed document states.
Alexey Gruzdev pointed out, “Turkey’s status of Tenth Anniversary International Industrial Trade Fair Partner Country will highlight the special relationship between our countries and reinforce our strong potential for cooperation in science and technology and the industrial sector. We are looking forward to working closely with the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, and official operator of Turkey’s participation in order to ensure that as many Turkish companies as possible have a maximally eventful experience at the exhibition and find partners in Russia.”
Mutual turnover between the two countries increased by 40% in 2017 and grew by another 30% over the first 8 months of 2018. Based on 2017 results, Russia is among Turkey’s top three external trading partners by mutual turnover. Turkey holds the seventh place on the list of Russia’s main external trade partners.
International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM has been held annually in Ekaterinburg since 2010. In 2012, the Government of the Russian Federation conferred the federal status upon INNOPROM as Russia’s main industrial, trade, and export site. More than 600 companies from 107 countries participated in INNOPROM 2018. During 4 exhibition days, the trade fair attracted over 46,000 visitors. 2018 marked record professional attendance at 76% of all visitors. Global industrial leaders regularly participate in INNOPROM. In 2018, 9 countries presented their national exhibits: Belarus, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Slovakia, Switzerland, and South Korea in the capacity of the Partner Country.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is the organizer of INNOPROM. Business Event LLC (http://business-event.com/ru/), part of Formika Group (http://formika.ru/), is the operator of the exhibition.
